General

Will my accounts be FDIC insured at Warsaw Federal? Absolutely. Effective July 21, 2010, Congress permanently made the FDIC standard maximum deposit insurance amount (SMDIA) $250,000. The FDIC coverage limit applies per depositor, per insured depository institution, for each account ownership category. For more information visit www.fdic.gov.

How do I sign up for Direct Deposit?  If you would like to have your paycheck deposited into your Warsaw Federal checking or savings account, you will need to notify your payroll department.  You will need to give them our routing number, which is 242071855, and the first 10 digits of your account number.  Checking account customers will find their account number at the bottom of their checks; the first two digits will be 01 or 02.  Savings customers can find their account numbers on their monthly statement or the inside of their passbook.  If you have questions about your account number, please call us or e-mail us and we can assist you.

For your convenience we have a form available in our offices that you can fill out and use to provide your employer with the pertinent numbers.  Some employers prefer such a form or, possibly a deposit slip from the back of your checkbook.

Does Warsaw Federal sell money orders?  Yes.  However, we can only sell money orders to current customers.  The current fee for each money order is $2.00.

Can I purchase or redeem Savings Bonds at your office?  Yes.  However, we can only sell and redeem Savings Bonds to current customers. We sell U.S. EE and I bonds. For more information on Savings Bonds, please check out the U.S. Treasury’s website.

Do you sell or cash Travelers Cheques?  Yes.  However, we can only sell and cash Travelers Cheques to current customers. We sell American Express Travelers Cheques in various increments, beginning with $100.00. We collect $1.00 per each $100.00 worth of checks purchased.

Do you have a Notary Public in the office?  Yes. However, the service is only available to our current customers. Presently, there is not a charge for this service. Remember that all of the individuals providing the signature(s) to be notarized need to be present with proper identification.

Can I pay my Real Estate Taxes at your office?  Yes, you may pay your Hamilton County Real Estate Taxes at either of our offices and we will deliver them to the Treasurer’s office for you, free of charge.

When is the bank open for business?  The main branch at 3533 Warsaw Avenue is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 9:30 am – 6:00 pm., and on Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Our branch at 6570 Gracely Drive is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, and on Saturday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Of course, we are always open if you visit us Online!

 

How do I get to the Main Office?
 
From Dayton / Northern Cincinnati via I-75:
Travel I-75 south towards Cincinnati; Take EXIT 2B toward Harrison Ave.;   Turn slight right onto Western Hills Viaduct;  Western Hills Viaduct becomes Beekman St.;  Turn slight left onto Queen City Ave.;  Turn left onto Grand Ave.;  Turn right onto Warsaw Ave.  Our office is located on the left side of Warsaw Ave., watch for our blue marquee sign.

From Kentucky via I-75:
Travel I-75 North into Ohio; Merge onto US-50 W/OH-264 W via exit 1D toward River Rd./Linn St.; Take the Elberon Ave/Warsaw Ave ramp; Turn slight right onto Warsaw Ave.  Our office is located on the left side of Warsaw Ave., watch for our blue marquee sign.

From Beechmont Avenue:
Merge onto I-275 S toward OH-52/Kentucky (crossing into KY); Merge onto I-471 N via Exit 74B toward Newport/Cincinnati (crossing into OH); Merge onto US-50 W via Exit 6A toward Third St.; Take the I-75 N exit- Exit 1A- on the left toward Dayton; Merge onto US 50 W/OH 264 W via Exit 1D on the left; Take the Elberon Ave/Warsaw Ave ramp; Turn slight right onto Warsaw Ave.  Our office is located on the left side of Warsaw Ave., watch for our blue marquee sign.

How do I get to the Branch office in Sayler Park?

From Dayton/Northern Cincinnati via I-75:
Take I-75 S.  Merge onto I-275 W; Merge onto I-74 E/US-52 E via Exit 28 on the left toward Cincinnati; Take Rybolt Rd. exit- Exit 11- toward Harrison Pike; Turn right on Rybolt Rd.;  Turn right onto Taylor Rd.;  Turn left onto Powner Rd.;  Turn left onto Bridgetown Rd./OH-264; Turn right onto South Rd.;  Stay straight to go onto Van Blaricum Rd.;  Turn right onto Cleves Warsaw Pike;  Turn left onto Hillside Ave.;  Turn right onto Monitor Ave.;  Turn left onto Gracely Dr.  Our office is on the left side of Gracely Drive, across the street from Parnell’s Hardware.

Take Rapid Run Road until it ends at Hillside Avenue; Turn right onto Hillside Avenue; Turn left onto Twain Ave.; Watch for our sign and turn right into the small alley, Hovan, our parking lot is on the left.  Street parking is also available if you turn right from Twain onto Gracely Drive at the stop sign.

Savings & Certificates (CDs)

Can I open a savings account online?  No, all savings accounts must be opened in person. 

How do I renew a CD?  You will receive a maturity notice approximately 10 days before the maturity date.  Following the maturity, you have a 10 day grace period in which to renew or transfer the certificate.  Customers may contact us via telephone, e-mail or regular mail during the grace period with any instructions in regards to the maturing certificate(s). Once the grace period has expired, the account may begin to earn the interest rate being paid on our passbook savings account at that time. 

What do I do if I lose my Passbook?  In the event of a lost or stolen passbook, please contact us and we will place a lost passbook hold on your account; if the passbook needs to be replaced we will need to have all parties on the account sign a Lost Passbook Affidavit.  There is a $5.00 fee to replace each lost Passbook and the passbook will not be reissued for 10 days.

Checking

How do I report a lost or stolen ATM/Debit card?  To report a lost or stolen Warsaw Federal ATM/Debit card, contact either branch location at (513) 244-6900 or (513) 941-7300. After banking hours, call 1-800-554-8969. 

Can I open a checking account online?  No, all checking accounts must be opened in person. 

Do you report to ChexSystems?  Yes, we run an inquiry with ChexSystems when a new account is opened.

How do I reorder checks?  You may reorder checks online or by phone.  Please allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery.

Reorder checks online for checks that are:

  • printed with the same information (e.g., your name, address, etc.) as your last order,
  • the same style and quantity as your last order, and
  • starting with the next sequential check number.

To reorder by phone, call us during regular business hours at (513) 244-6900, especially:

  • if your address has changed or you wish to order a different style or design
  • to order deposit slips only
  • if you have questions about the status of your order or need to cancel an order

What is the difference between an ATM Card and a Debit Card?  An ATM Card enables a customer to withdraw cash from ATM machines.  A Debit Card enables a customer to withdraw cash from ATM machines and make purchases at any store or retailer that accepts Visa.

Which ATMs are free?  With a Warsaw Federal ATM/Debit card you have unlimited access to any PNC Bank ATM, nationwide, free of charge!  Please click here then click “Locate PNC” at the top of the web page, to locate the PNC Bank ATM nearest you.

In addition to any PNC Bank ATM you may use our ATM free of charge.  It is located at our Sayler Park office:

What if I do not use a Warsaw Federal or PNC Bank ATM?  If you use a non-PNC Bank or a non-Warsaw Federal ATM, you will be charged $0.50 per each transaction.  This charge is in addition to any fees charged by the ATM owner for using their ATM.  The ATM owner charge is known as a surcharge and it usually ranges from $1.50- $2.50.

I was charged $0.50 when I used a PNC Bank ATM.  Why?  If you incur a $0.50 charge, in error, after using a PNC Bank ATM please contact us and we’ll reverse the charge.  PNC Bank ATM’s are continually being updated and installed and occasionally there is a gap between the time an ATM is updated or installed and the time we input the information in our system.

How do I place a stop payment on a check? Online banking customers may request a stop payment online through our Online Banking.  A stop payment may also be placed by telephone during regular business hours.  You will need to provide the check number, the amount of the check, the date the check was written, and the payee name.  Also note that the stop payment will remain in effect for six months and a stop payment fee applies.

How do I change my ATM/Debit Card PIN?  You may change your PIN (Personal Identification Number) at our Warsaw Federal ATM located at 6570 Gracely Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233.  You may also request a new PIN by contacting us during regular business hours.  The new PIN will be mailed to you within 7-10 business days.

Can a Sole Proprietor open a checking account?  Yes, a sole proprietor may open a checking account.  We will require proper documentation for the entity prior to opening the account.

Online Banking & Bill Pay

How much will Online Banking cost me?  It’s free.  There will be no cost to you for online banking.  There will also be no cost if you want to set up Online Bill Pay.

How do I sign-up for Online Banking?  Signing up for Online Banking is easy and stress-free. You will first need to complete the First Time Login Sign Up form located on our home page. Once that is processed, we will mail you a temporary access ID and password. These mailings will arrive separately for security purposes. When you have received both your access ID and password you will then be able to bank online!

What if I forget my password?  Go to the Warsaw Federal Savings & Loan Association website home page and below the Online Banking Login button you will find a link labeled “Forgot your password?” click on that link, enter your Access ID and hit Submit to have your password emailed to you. Once you re-enter Online Banking you will be prompted to change your password.

What if I forget my password and get “Locked out?”  If you are locked out of Online Banking for any reason you will have to contact us at 513-244-6900 during regular business hours.

Do I need to have a Warsaw Federal Savings & Loan account to bank online?  Yes. You must have an account with us to use Online Banking with Warsaw Federal. In order to use Online Bill Pay you must have one of our Warsaw Federal NOW checking accounts.

Do I need special software to use Online Banking?  No. Online Banking is an Internet-based system. You can use Online Banking with any computer that has Internet access and Netscape Navigator 4.5 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. The latest version of these browsers is highly recommended.

What security features are in place to protect my personal information?  All customer information online is encrypted and can only be accessed with an access ID, password, and photo authentication known only to you. Please see our Privacy & Security Statement for more details.

What services are included with Online Banking?  Warsaw Federal’s Online Banking allows you to:

  • View account balances and review transaction history
  • Transfer money between savings and checking accounts
  • Transfer money from your Warsaw Federal checking or savings to pay your Warsaw Federal mortgage loan or consumer loan
  • Transfer money from your Home equity line-of-credit to your Warsaw Federal checking or savings account
  • Reorder checks for your NOW checking account
  • Place a stop payment on a check from your NOW checking account
  • Set up reminders thru eAlerts
  • Communicate directly with Warsaw Federal via email
  • Access Online Bill Pay to pay bills from your Warsaw Federal NOW checking account to almost any merchant, institution or individual

How current is the information provided by Online Banking?  Transactions made through Online Banking are in “real time” and will be reflected immediately.

Can I give my accounts nicknames?  Yes. Once in Online Banking you may change your Account Nicknames to reflect special titles such as, “Vacation funds” or “Emergency Savings.” Simply choose the heading, “Options” and then select “Change Nicknames.”

How do I sign up for Online Bill Pay?  Sign in to Online Banking, select your Warsaw Federal NOW checking account, next select the link titled, “Online Bill Pay” and follow the instructions. If you have any questions or concerns please call us at 513-244-6900 or 513-941-7300.

What kind of bill can I pay with Online Bill Pay?  You can make payments to almost any merchant, institution or individual with an address within the United States and its territories.
